finally caught the murakami show at the brooklyn museum on its last day. if you aren’t down with the one of the most amazing artists of our time, please CLICK THE PIC and find out. i’ve never been a fan of that anime. this man’s work blew me away. i was the 1st person in the museum on the day of it closing, beating out the hundreds of people who would later storm the museum. (my roommate went later that day.) i got to get up and close and personal with these works, with only the security guards looking on from a distance. i will continue to kick myself for not purchasing one of the two beautiful signed lithographs left that morning.
